An investigation that began in the spring of 2012 ended Thursday evening with the arrest of a 22-year-old Salina man on a charge of aggravated indecent liberties.

Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said Jerry Dix was arrested for having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.

Salina Police were contacted after the girl had a baby boy in February of 2013.

It was determined the sexual encounter occurred in a vehicle outside the city of Salina, and the Sheriff’s Office then took over the investigation.

The girl was interviewed in August, and Dix was arrested at the Sheriff’s Office Thursday.
