9:15 p.m. Midwest Energy’s Mike Morely told Hays Post that the Saturday night power outage was in a section of underground and took crews quite a bit of time to identify and ultimately restore. The good news is that they were able to make the repairs rapidly as soon as the problem was identified.
8:38 p.m. Midwest Energy crews have successfully been able to reroute power in in Hays to customers while repairs are being made. When we have details on what cause the outage, we will report it.
8:10 p.m. Midwest Energy Director of Corporate Communications Mike Morely told Hays Post that approximately 60 homes are effected by the Saturday night power outage in the northwest part of Hays. Midwest Energy is working to reroute electricity to those home while repairs are made. There is no word on just what causd the outage.
