Andre Smith rushed for 123 yards on 19 carries leading the Tigers to a season-high 401 yards of offense as FHSU defeated William Jewell 34-17 Saturday night in front of a homecoming crowd of 3,678 at Lewis Field. The win is the first of the season for the Tigers who improve to 1-4. William Jewell falls to 1-4.

The Tigers matched their season total for rushing touchdowns in the first half with three. Quarterback Treveon Albert scored on runs of two and three yards with Edward Smith adding a one-yard run with 2:25 left in the second quarter. The Tigers final touchdown of the first half was set up after a Michael Jordan interception, one of the Tigers three on the night.
