4:55 p.m. Russell County Sheriff’s office told Hays Post that a one-vehicle rollover accident occurred at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday just south of Land Road and 203^rd in the Lake Wilson area.

Thirty-four year old Brandon Boutte of Sylvan Grove drove a 1996 Isuzu around a barricade, swerved, lost control and rolled multiple times.

The vehicle landed upside down in the ditch. A 13 year old boy was able to exit the vehicle and was transported by ambulance to Russell Regional hospital. Boutte was trapped in the vehicle. He eventually was flown on Eagle Med to a hospital in Wichita. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the accident.

 

2:55 p.m Law enforcement authorities in Russell County have been working an injury accident  near Wilson Lake. Few details are available. A medical helicopter arrived near the scene just after 1 p.m. and has successfully transported a patient to a hospital in Wichita.  The Russell County Sheriff’s office has told Hays Post that the accident is still under investigation.
