The final day of the Friends of the Hays Public Library is today from 2-4p.m.  in the HPL Schmidt Gallery

Books, hardback and paperback, are just 25 cent an inch.  Volunteers use a yard stick to measure the thickness of the stacked up books.

“Friday a woman bought $95 worth of books, seven carts of books we helped get to her vehicle,” reports event chairman Margie Mueller.

FHPL hosts several used book sales throughout the year as primary fundraisers for various library programs.
