Dental professionals in Hays and Plainville will offer free services Friday, October 25, as part of “DDS Give” for people who don’t have the means to pay for their oral health needs.
DDS Give is a program created by northwest Kansas dental professionals to provide donated dental care in-house to underprivileged northwest Kansas residents. The basic services will alleviate pain, dental decay and gum disease.
To sign up, call an office on the list below to be scheduled. Appointments are limited and are given away on a first call, first serve basis. If a nearby office is not on the list, call the next closest office or call a local dental provider and encourage them to participate. Not all patients will be able to be seen. Hopefully future events will be possible.
Care that patients may receive includes fillings, cleanings, root canal therapy and extractions. Crowns, bridges, implants and dentures require multiple appointments and will not be provided during the DDS Give program.
All dental professional participating do so on a voluntary basis and receive no compensation or reimbursement.
Last year the DDS Give event had 14 participating offices with 18 volunteer dentists. The teams donated $80,098 in dental care.
