Country Radio Broadcasters will present their 2014 Artist Humanitarian Award to Carrie Underwood, who will be officially honored Feb. 19 during the Country Radio Seminar opening ceremonies. “In a format rich with artists that are generous with their time and talents for a wide variety of worthy causes and needs, Carrie Underwood has distinguished herself with her depth of kindnesses and commitment to making a positive difference,” says CRS President Charlie Morgan. Underwood’s charitable endeavors include the establishment of C.A.T.S. (Checotah Animal, Town and School) in her hometown of Checotah, OK, and involvement in the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Save The Children, American Idol‘s Idol Gives Back and the USO. She also recently donated $1 million from The Blown Away Tour to the American Red Cross and Canadian Red Cross for disaster relief.
