The Hays Arts Council (HAC) is hosting a concert that is open to the public.   Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations will be performing after the HAC Annual Meeting on Friday, October 25th.

The group of musicians from Victoria that make up the group promise a high-energy performance featuring major hits from the 1950s and early 1960s.

Executive Director Brenda Meder said that this event is not designed to make money for HAC; it’s intended to be a fun community event.

“We don’t have that many events outside of our art walks that are what you would consider great art events for adults. Our goal is to have a wonderful evening, celebrating live music with incredible artists. Any funds we make on this (after all our expenses for this event are paid) will help support the general operational expenses for the other things that we do.”

Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations will perform at the Fox Pavilion Theatre in Downtown Hays.  The doors to the public will open at 7:10 pm.

Tickets are $15 per person and are available at the Hays Arts Center, 112 E. 11th St., The Mix Shop at 8th St. Liquor, 235 W. 8th St., and at the door the evening of the performance.
