Health and Human Services Secretary and Former Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius released a radio address today to discuss the benefits of the Affordable Care Act for Kansans. The address comes in light of requests for her to testify before Congress about problems in the launch of the official website.
According to their website, The House Energy and Commerce Committee has asked for several of the health care law’s top contractors to testify at a hearing to be held Thursday, October 24th. The intent is for the committee to ask questions to determine why the first three weeks of open enrollment on Healthcare.gov have been defined by significant systems failures. Secretary Sebelius will testify before the full committee on Wednesday, October 30th to answer similar questions.
