KHAZ Country Music News: Country Music Hall of Fame Ceremonies Sunday

khaz kenny rogers 20120402NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Kenny Rogers is a bit of a homebody – at least when it comes to his music career. He still records and performs at times. But he says when it comes to touring and living the life of a pop star, he’s done with it. He says he “wouldn’t be out there today if you paid me.” Rogers helped put country music “out there” when he scored huge crossover hits with songs like “The Gambler” and “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love to Town.” On Sunday, he will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Many feel his being voted in is long overdue, given what he’s done to spread country music.
