Interstate 70 is open again after a Sunday night crash in Geary County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Twenty-two year old Kevin Mattew Erin Diaz of Ogden was merging a 2012 Chevy Camaro onto the interstate from K-18 just before midnight when he hit a guardrail.

The vehicle launched over the embankment and landed in the westbound lanes of I-70. Twenty-two year old Diaz was transported to the hospital in Junction City.

The interstate was closed for almost an hour while the while troopers conducted an investigation of the crash
