Thirty-seven year old Giovani Duarte-Trinidad of Hoxie was killed during a Sunday accident in Sheridan County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Duarte-Trinidad was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger pickup west bound on 10 Road South, 2.5 miles east of Menlo, when he swerved to miss a deer, entered the north ditch sideways and rolled the pickup. He was ejected and died at the scene.

A passenger in the pickup, Jesus Giron-Fuentes age 27 of Menlo, was transported to the hospital in Hoxie. Neither man was wearing a seat belt.
