Two Kansas Women face federal drug charges

meth-bustTwo Harvey County women face federal charges stemming from a meth house they ran in Newton. 36 year old Carrie Anne Neel, and 50 year old Karen A. Parks, are charged in a superseding indictment with one count of maintaining a residence in Newton for the purpose of distributing methamphetamine.

In addition, Neel is charged with four counts of distributing methamphetamine and Parks in charged with one count of distributing meth.

If convicted, they face a maximum penalty of 20 years and a fine up to $1 million on the charge of maintaining a residence in furtherance of drug trafficking, and a maximum penalty of 20 years and a fine up to $500,000 on each of the other counts. The pair were arrested after an investigation by the Newton Police Department.
