Barton County Sheriff’s officers responded to a silent alarm at a location in Susank, north of Great Bend on Monday.

Upon arrival at the scene Sheriff’s officers located a subject and a pickup truck.

It was determined through investigation the vehicle was stolen in Mitchell County, Kansas and it appeared there had been attempted forced entry into the location in Susank. The suspect was identified as Nicholas A. Nondorf of Wilson Kansas.

Nondorf was arrested at the scene for burglary, possession of stolen property and criminal damage to property as well as criminal trespass.

Mitchell County authorities were notified and further investigation is pending. It is believed this incident may tie into other stolen vehicles in both Ottawa and Mitchell counties.
