Rylee Werth of Ellis is in demand. She sang before last Saturday night’s banquet at the 3rd Kansas Governor’s Classic pheasant hunt hosted by Norton and Graham counties.
Rylee, a student at St. Mary’s school, is busy preparing for her trip to Las Vegas next month.
As the winner of an Internet singing competition, she will perform the National Anthem on the first Saturday of the National Finals Rodeo. She beat competitors from Wyoming, Montana, and Arizona. The NFR coordinated travel plans with Rylee’s mother Cristi. The two will do a little shopping in Vegas to determine what Rylee will wear at the NFR. “Something more glitzy than normal,” according to mom.
Thanks for voting and helping Rylee earn this exciting trip. Check Hays Post the week of Dec. 7 for more from Rylee’s trip to the NFR.
