Two men died in a Thursday rollover crash in western Kansas.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol twenty-five year old Christopher W. Jones of Tribune was driving a 2006 Ford F 150 southbound on Road 17 in Greeley County just north of Tribune.
The truck went off the roadway to the left, rotated clockwise 45 degrees, and struck a power pole on the driver’s side rear door. The truck overturned approximately 2 1/4 times and came to rest on passenger side in the east ditch.
Jones was transported to the hospital in Garden City where he died.
Twenty-seven year of Matthew M. Bender of Tribune, a passenger in the truck, was transported to a hospital in Wichita where he died.
Christy L. Hopkins, age 31 of Tribune, a passenger in the truck, was transported to Greeley County Hospital. None of the occupants of the truck were wearing a seat belt.
