One person was injured in a Wednesday crash in Russell County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol sixty eight year old John W. Brown of Rancho Cucamonga, California was driving a 2014 GMC 4 wheel drive vehicle in the left lane and a 2000 GMC Freightliner driven by forty-four year old Javier Carmona-Ceballos of Kissimmee, Florida was in right lane of Interstate 70 westbound approaching the rest area entrance, east of Russell.

The semi truck changed lanes and hit the GMC.

Sandra M. Brown age 64 of Rancho Cucamonga, California, a passenger in the GMC, was transported to the hospital in Russell. No other injuries were reported. All were wearing seat belts.
