(AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 4.2 earthquake has hit south-central Kansas.
The USGS said the earthquake was reported shortly after 9 a.m. Monday about 11 miles northwest of Caldwell, which is about 60 miles south of Wichita, near the Oklahoma border.
The earthquake had a depth of 3.1 miles.
The USGS website says the earthquake was felt as far north as El Dorado, which is northeast of Wichita.
