Kate Lehman recorded just the second triple-double in Fort Hays State women’s basketball history helping the Lady Tigers to a 99-76 win over over the Lindenwood Lady Lions Thursday night at Gross Coliseum. The victory improves FHSU to 10-2 overall and 4-2 in the MIAA. The Lions, who have lost three straight, fall to 8-6 and 3-4.

Lehman scored 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked 10 shots. Chelsea Mason led the Lady Tigers with 25 points, Kate Edwards added 16 and Jill Faxon 10. The only other Lady Tiger to record a triple-double was Amy Scoby during the 1995-96 season in points, rebounds and assists.
The Lady Tigers hit their first four 3-pointers and led by as many as 19 on several different occasions in the first half before settling for a 15-point lead at the break. Lindenwood pulled as close as 11 early in the second half, but the Tigers answered with a 13-2 run to push the lead to 23.
The Lady Tigers shoot 53-percent from the floor and connected on 9-of-18 from beyond the arc and were 20-of-28 from the free throw line.
