Thursday’s MIAA results

Lindenwood at Fort Hays State 
WBB – FHSU 99, LWU 76
Fort Hays State got 24 points off of turnovers and put up 53 in the second half as they picked up a win at home over Lindenwood. FHSU shot .530 on the night as they moved to 4-2 in the league.

For the Tigers Kate Lehman recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds and ten blocked shots. Chelsea Mason led all scorers with 25 points and Katelyn Edwards added 16 points. For the Lions Kassidy Gengenbacher led the way with 20 points while Julie Hlinak had 18 points and eight rebounds. Caroline Bourlious had 13 points and five assists on the evening.

MBB – FHSU 70, LWU 61
Fort Hays State got 15 points off of turnovers as they picked up a win over Lindenwood at home. FHSU shot .475 on the night as they moved to 3-3 in league play.

For the Tigers Carson Konrade scored 19 points and Dwayne Brunson added 18 points. Andrew Victoria led the way on the glass with nine rebounds and Craig Nicholson had 11 assists. For the Lions Tyler Ressel had 19 points and was the only one in double figures. Darris Smith scored nine points and pulled down a team best eight rebounds.

Northwest Missouri at Nebraska-Kearney 
WBB – UNK 70, NWMSU 59
Nebraska-Kearney erased a 14-point halftime deficit as they picked up a win over Northwest Missouri at home. UNK racked p 25 points off of turnovers as they moved to 3-4 in the MIAA.

For the Lopers Amarah Williams had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Shelby Zimmerman and Sydney Seberger each had 11 points and Larammey Lewis pulled down nine boards. For the Bearcats Ariel Easton led all scorers with 20 points on the night. Annie Mathews had double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

MBB – NWMSU 73, UNK 69 OT
Neither team led by more than six points as Northwest Missouri defeated Nebraska-Kearney in overtime on the road. NWMSU got 15 points off of turnover as they moved to 4-1 in league play.

For the Bearcats Bryston Williams led all scorers with 20 points and Conner Crooker had 15 points. DeShaun Cooper finished with 14 points and Dillon Starzl had 11 points on the night. For the Lopers Mike Dentlinger led the way with 18 points. Connor Beranek had 15 points and Ethan Bozek pulled down nine rebounds.

Southwest Baptist at Northeastern State 
WBB – NSU 60, SBU 47
Northeastern State held Southwest Baptist to just 21 points in the first half as they picked up a win at home. NSU held SBU to just .224 shooting on the night as they moved to 3-2 in the league this season.

For the RiverHawks Carrington Fox had a double-double scoring 14 points and pulling down ten rebounds. Che’Ron Lewis led all scorers with 18 points in the game. For the Bearcats Jacqui Zelenka was one board shy of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Leann Lansdown added 13 points and Brook Duncan had six rebounds.

MBB – NSU 97, SBU 91
Northeastern State racked up 57 points in the second half as they picked up a win over Southwest Baptist at home. NSU shot .552 from the field and .520 from the three-point line as they moved to 5-0 in the league this season.

For the RiverHawks Bryton Hobbs scored a game high 40 points and Dalen Qualls added 23 points. Marcus Sheppard had 18 points and Curtis Evans pulled down eight rebounds. For the Bearcats Jaywaun Hill led the way with 25 points and Menas Stephens had 17 points. Rashaad Brown-Peterson had 14 points and Desi Barmore pulled down 11 rebounds.

Central Missouri at Pittsburg State 
WBB – #6 UCM 88, PSU 86 OT
#6 Central Missouri hit three free throws with 14 seconds to play in overtime to seal a win on the road at Pittsburg State. UCM got 17 points off of turnovers as they moved to 6-0 in league play.

For the Jennies Keuna Flax had a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds. BreAnna Lewis led all scorers with 26 points and Shelby Winkelmann had 13 points and Revonnia Howard had 12 points. For the Gorillas Lizzy Jeronimus had 25 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Alex Muff had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Cathy Brugman had 11 points.

MBB – UCM 88, PSU 62
Central Missouri put up 55 points in the first half as they picked up a win over Pittsburg State on the road. UCM got 29 points off of turnover and shot .527 from the field as they moved to 5-1 in league play.

For the Mules Kyle Wolf had 18 points and seven rebounds. Ryan Magdziarz had 14 points and Daylen Robinson and Jon Gilliam had each had 10 points while Ryan Donald added eight boards. For the Gorillas Devon Branch was the only scorer in double figures with 17 points. Denton Hays led the way on the glass with eight total rebounds.
