QUINTER — A Collyer man was injured in a single-vehicle accident 2 miles east of Quinter in Gove County at 2:43 a.m. Sunday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Paul Joseph Smith, 23, was westbound on Old U.S. 40 when he lost control of his 2001 Buick Park Avenue, over-corrected and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled an unknown number of times, coming to rest on its wheels.

He was taken to Gove County Medical Center for treatment. The KHP said he was not wearing a seat belt.
