Increasing the awareness of “gender-based violence” is the goal of
an art exhibit coming to Hays next month.
According to Hays Arts Council Director Brenda Meder, the exhibit — currently in Geneva, Switzerland — is called “Victims to Survivors” and was developed by artists in Namibia, Africa.
Developers of the exhibit collaborated with Jana’s Campaign and the Hays Arts Council for its United States debut in Hays.
Meder said she thinks February is an ideal time to spread awareness about violence against women.
