Two hurt in Interstate 70 rollover accident

COLBY — Two Colorado woman were hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident at 8:56 a.m. Friday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Sheila D. Wood, 35, Pueblo, Colo., was eastbound on Interstate 70 when the driver lost control, went into the media and over-corrected. The vehicle entered the south ditch and rolled an unknown number of times.

A passenger, Leslie R. Acosta, 37, Pueblo, was ejected. Both were transported to the Colby hospital for treatment.

The KHP said Wood was wearing a seat belt, while Acosta was unrestrained.
