The Sternberg Museum of Natural History has scheduled its newest community outreach program for next month.

Food for Thought will convene at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at Gella’s Diner, 117 E. 11th, to discuss the recent published diciv dry of the oldest known fossil of a big cat.

Museum staff will be on hand to answer questions and lead the discussion.

Dr. Jack Tseng and co-authors recently unveiled their discovery of a Pantherinae from Tibet, dated to be between 4.9 million and 5.95 million years old — up to 2 million years older than the next oldest big cat fossil.
