Hays Police will have tactical training Jan. 28 and 29

The Hays Police Department will conduct training between 2 and 6 p.m. Jan. 28 and 29 in the 400 block of East Sixth Street.

Police officers will be training with special tactical equipment, and the HPD said in a news release the training is done with great care and safety.

Resident might see law enforcement officers move through their area, but the HPD said there is no need to be alarmed and that there is no danger to the community during the realistic training exercise.
