LAWRENCE — Eight students from the University of Kansas William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, including Madison Schultz, Hays, have been awarded competitive reporting and editing internships at prestigious national news outlets for summer 2014.

Schultz accepted a Dow Jones News Fund Paid Summer 2014 Editing Internship at the Buffalo News in New York. She is a senior in journalism/news and Information and a graduate of Hays High School. She is the daughter of Charles and Kari Schultz.
