Eagle’s Mike Cooper recently visited with Brian J. Shannon, deputy with the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department.

Shannon explained the department Drug Enforcement Unit, focusing on training and the importance of having a canine officer in the department.

After the interview, marijuana was hidden in the room and Deputy Shannon brought his dog, Raiko, in to find it.
