Kansas Next Step on Tuesday announced the KNS Star Student and Teacher of the Month.

 

Abby Garrett, a senior at Hays High School, is active in many activities including student council,DECA and National Honor Society. She known as an advocate for fairness at school and for always greeting everyone with a smile.

Heather Sramek, is January’s Teacher of the Month. Sramek serves as the chairwoman of the English department at Thomas More Prep-Marian Junior/Senior High School and has helped her students to make state in journalism for the past six years. She is also the student council adviser.
