As the song “Bandstand” by Barry Manilow goes, “We’re goin’ hoppin’, we’re goin’ hoppin’ today.”  Well, local residents will get the chance to “go hoppin” next weekend.

Director of TMP Singers, Kathy Amrein said the theme for this year’s annual fundraiser will include “lots of singing, dancing and good music.”

Amrein said the show will showcase the songs from one popular artist from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.  Elvis Presley songs will represent the 1950s, Beatles songs will showcase the 1950s, Elton John for the 1970s and Michael Jackson songs will represent the 1980s.

Amrein said the fundraiser helps the TMP Singers with purchasing music equipment and attending singing competitions.

The show is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 7 and 8, and at noon Feb. 9.
