Ellis County Rural Fire crews responded at 10 a.m. Friday to a fire at Well Enhancement Services, 2550 E. Eighth.

According to Ellis County Rural Fire Chief Dick Klaus, the fire apparently was started “by some kind of torch or flame” as someone tried to patch a hole in a fiberglass garage door.

Klaus said no injuries were reported, and damage was contained to the door.
