Construction is scheduled to begin March 24, and will continue through the 2014 construction season, with completion in 2015. Access to all properties will be provided during construction; however, traffic routing will be adjusted throughout the project as construction phasing changes.

A public open house/information meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 11 at KDOT Area headquarters, 1811 W. Frontier Road. The construction contractor, APAC; engineer, Alfred Benesch & Co.; KDOT engineers; and city staff will be in attendance to answer questions and present the plan and schedule.

This $4.5 million project is being funded in part by Federal Transportation dollars administered through the Kansas Department of Transportation. The public is encouraged to attending this meeting.
