Have some shopping to do? Looking for an excuse to get moving? Maybe just want to kill some time?

The Ellis County Extension will host a Walk Kansas kick-off and mall walk from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at The Mall. Enjoy a self-paced walk while you learn more about the Walk Kansas program and how to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

After two, four and six laps, participants will earn a chance to enter a prize drawing. Team registration packets and other Walk Kansas materials will be available at the Mall Walk. The event, which was planned by a student team from Fort Hays State University, is free and for all ages.
