Women injured after Jeep rolls on Interstate 70

OAKLEY — Two East Coast residents were hospitalized after an early morning rollover accident Thursday on Interstate 70.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1993 Jeep Wrangler driven by Valerie Zandoli, 49, Conway, N.H., was westbound on I-70 just east of U.S. 83 when the vehicle drifted off the road to the left. the driver over-corrected and lost control. The Jeep rolled an unknown number of times and came to rest on its passenger side.

Zandoli and a passenger, Paula Elizabeth Zandoli, 87, Washington, D.C., were transported to Logan County Hospital for treatment.

Both were reportedly wearing seat belts.
