WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old woman who was found responsive after officers responded to a report of someone being trampled outside a private club.

KAKE-TV reports the incident happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday at Phat Azz Bikes, where officers found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, but her name has not been released.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and that the woman’s death is being treated as a homicide.

More information about the shooting is expected to be released Monday morning.
