FHSU softball jumps to No. 13 in national rankings

Fort Hays State Softball moved up two spots to No. 13 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll, released Wednesday, March 12.

Previously ranked 15th, the Tigers (14-5, 4-0 MIAA) have won four straight contests and earned 185 voting points in the latest rankings.  FHSU is nearing its all-time highest ranking of No. 11, achieved twice last season.

Joining FHSU in the Top 25 is MIAA opponent Emporia State, which stayed at No. 21 with 92 points.  Missouri Western received two votes in the poll.

FHSU hosts ESU this Friday (March 14) in a doubleheader at 4 and 6 p.m., followed by Saturday’s matchup (March 15) with Washburn at 1 and 3 p.m.
