Andrew Rupp, executive vice president and treasurer of Insurance Planning, graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1977 and is a member of the FHSU Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

“The Power of One scholarship campaign is a great opportunity for us to recognize the role that FHSU has played in our lives and the opportunities that it has created for each one of us in Western Kansas and at Insurance Planning,” Rupp said. “Giving the same opportunity to current and future students, and helping them to achieve an education and future success, is extremely rewarding to us.”

“Scholarships are big. They make a world of difference to our students,” said Dr. Stephen Schleicher, chair of FHSU’s Department of Informatics.  “The generous donation from Insurance Planning will double the number of scholarships that we have available for students.”

This gift comes in the wake of FHSU’s Power of One scholarship campaign announcement, which has an ambitious goal – to raise $8 million before Dec. 31.
