STOCKTON — Texas country music will invade the Rooks County Free Fair in Stockton on Aug. 15. Texas star Kevin Fowler will headline the fair’s concert event. Up-and-coming Texas artist Curtis Grimes will be the opening act.

Fowler’s new album, “How Country Are Ya,” recorded in Texas on his own label, debuted last week at No. 9 on Billboard’s Country Charts. He currently claims the No. 1 spot on the Texas Music Charts. An Amarillo native, he just completed his seventh studio album. Kevin tours and performs more than 200 dates each year .
Grimes sits at No. 5 on the Texas Charts this week with a Texas tune entitled, “The Cowboy Kind.” A former contestant who spent eight weeks on “The Voice,” Grimes performs across Texas. Curtis has also appeared nationwide with his Texas Country hit, “Home To Me,” on a Supercuts commercial. To his credit, he has had three top five hits on the Texas Music Charts.
