WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A 45-year-old man has died after he was hit by a train in south Wichita.

KAKE-TV reports the accident happened Sunday morning in south Wichita.

Police say the train’s engineers told officers the man was standing on the tracks and facing the train before he was hit. The man, who was not identified, died a short time after he was taken to a Wichita hospital.
