RUSSELL — The citywide cleanup in Russell has been scheduled for April 5.

Non-hazardous items — old furniture, building materials, trash, debris and other unnecessary extras — can be deposited in trash bins at 333 E. Ninth between 8 a.m. and noon. The disposal is free for Russell residents.

Russell PRIDE will offer curb side pickup for residents 65 and older or for disabled residents. Call (785) 483-5853 to make arrangements.

The next Hays citywide cleanup day is scheduled for October.
