Wellington woman found after reported missing

4p.m. UPDATE WELLINGTON, Kan. (AP) — Authorities in Sumner County say a 32-year-old Wellington woman who’d been reported missing has contacted authorities and is fine.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Department had asked for the public’s help Friday in locating Trina Cook, who was last seen March 26.

The sheriff’s office told The Wichita Eagle that Cook apparently saw a report about herself on the news and contacted the office Saturday. The sheriff’s office says she’s fine. No other details were available.

 

WELLINGTON, Kan. (AP) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 32-year-old south-central Kansas woman who’s been missing more than a week.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office says Trina Cook was last seen on March 26. Her family told authorities it’s very unusual for her not to contact them.

Cook is described as white, 5-foot-2, 110 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information to the office at 620-326-8941 or 911.
