Mild with a chance of rain

FileA chance of light to moderate rain showers will be possible across the area this afternoon and tonight. High temperatures are forecast to reach into the mid 50s today with an overnight low in the upper 30s.

The chance for showers will linger into Monday, with windy conditions and a high in the upper 50s.

Looking toward the rest of the week, a dry weather pattern returns on Tuesday, as do warmer temperatures.

Today: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 55. South southwest wind 9 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 39. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming west northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday: Rain likely, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Windy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 23 to 28 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 43 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday Night: A 10 percent chance of rain before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Windy, with a north northwest wind 21 to 26 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind around 14 mph.
