Hays Medical Center will be the site of Trauma Symposium 2014 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 2 at the hospital’s Hadley Conference Rooms, 2220 Canterbury, the hospital announced in a news released Monday.
Featured speakers include Ryan Ernst, Ph.D, neuropsychologist, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital; Archie Heddings, MD, orthopaedics, University of Kansas Medical Center; Diana Hunt, MD, general surgery, Wesley Medical Center; Deb Kaufman, Sheridan County EMS; Charles Schultz, HaysMed Southwind Surgical; and Lillian Slater, EMS training officer, Ellis County EMS.
Topics to be addressed will be spinal motions restrictions, brain injury/rehab process, NW KS Trauma Council Update, long bone fracture treatment, obstetrical trauma and case reviews.
The program is designed for health care professionals and continuing education credit is available.
