The Administrative Center at 718 Main can move a step closer to construction Monday night as the Ellis County Commission will discuss sending the project for bids.
An architect from Spangenberg Phillips Tice Architecture presented the commission with its first look at the redesign last week. Department heads and the commissioners had until Friday to provide input. In his memo to commissioners, Ellis County Administrator Greg Sund said he did not receive any input he believed would require changes to the design.
The commission also will discuss a request to purchase one new ambulance and another bid for a remount for a second ambulance. In the remounting process, the company would mount a box already owned by the county onto a new vehicle chassis.
Ellis Mayor Lyle Johnston will also is scheduled the commission with a request for help with a street maintenance project.
