Kansas man injured in icy head on crash

KHPBELPRE, Kan- A Kansas man was injured in an icy head on crash in Edwards County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Luke A. Snyder, 30, St. John was west bound on U50 on Monday at 7:10 a.m.

The vehicle hit an icy snow packed section, skidded out of control and struck a Freightliner semi-truck head on.

The semi went into the south ditch and jack knifed. The Grand Prix continued spinning on the ice down the road into the south ditch.

Snyder was transported to Edwards County Hospital. The semi-truck driver was not injured.

The KHP reported Synder was not properly restrained.
