
TOPEKA — Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services Secretary Shawn Sullivan will join Larned State Hospital Superintendent Dr. Tom Kinlen on Thursday to mark the hospital’s 100th anniversary.
Kinlen will introduce special guests in attendance before remarks by KDADS Secretary Sullivan and the presentation of the Governor’s signed event proclamation at 2 p.m.
A celebration will follow in the LSH auditorium and LSH staff will be giving tours of the Lee Building beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Larned State Hospital, 1301 KS Highway 265, Larned, is the largest psychiatric facility in the state, serving the western two-thirds of Kansas. It is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
