JUNCTION CITY — The Geary County Sheriff’s Department reported Monday that a 77-year-old has died as a result of a farm accident.
Larry L. Bliss was involved in a tractor rollover in rural Geary County just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
According to Sheriff Tony Wolf the victim’s son located the tractor that had rolled over, with 77-year old Larry L. Bliss pinned underneath.
Wolf noted the tractor was loaded with firewood. The victim was trying to return to his house, and went through a ravine with the tractor. “At some point the trailer got ahead of the tractor, forced it down the hill, rolled over, pinning Mr. Bliss underneath the tractor.”
