HAYS– Eagle Communications, Inc., has been recognized with a 2014 award for Communication Excellence by the ESOP Association. Eagle won the printed materials category.
This award recognizes excellence in the use of original, printed informational materials, which are used to promote the company’s ESOP to employee owners, customers and the community.
“As a communications company, we are very pleased to be recognized in this category,” said Eagle Communications President & CEO Gary Shorman.
“At Eagle, employee ownership means much more than just owning stock in the company. “We see the commitment and teamwork each day in our radio and broadband operations. This dedication comes from being a part of a winning team. As the company is successful and grows, the employee owners share in that success.”
Each year, The ESOP Association presents their Annual Awards for Communications Excellence (AACE) at the Annual Award’s Ceremony that kicks off the Association’s Annual Conference in Washington, DC.
An ESOP, or Employee Stock Ownership Plan, is designed so that each eligible employee shares in the ownership of a company. “For Eagle employees, this translates into owning a piece of the company as stock is transferred to each eligible employee in the ESOP program,” said Shorman. “Our company is valued each year based on our performance and since the inception of the ESOP, the value of Eagle’s stock has steadily increased.”
