Lack of rain, not freezing temps, hurting wheat crop (VIDEO)

It’s typical spring weather for Kansas, warming up for a day and then the temperature plummets the next day with overnight lows below freezing.

That’s tough on the emerging wheat crop, but in Ellis County the bigger concern is lack of rain, according to K-State Research and Extension Agriculture Agent Stacy Campbell:

Campbell described the need for rain as “critical” for the wheat in Ellis County.
