RUSSELL — It’s a trip down memory lane during a new community event, “Russell Flashback,” scheduled for April 26 in Russell.
The free event is presented by the Russell-area small business community and the Russell Area Chamber of Commerce, according to Jenny Conn, chamber executive director.
Activities include antique valuations, a classic car cruise and a matinee movie at Dream Theatre.
Antiques appraiser Marvin Mann will offer free verbal approximation valuations of antiques and collectibles at three locations:
10 a.m.to noon: Fire Tender Trading Post, 727 Main
1 to 3 p.m.: Encore Antiques & Collectibles, 590 S. Fossil
3 to 5 p.m.: D. Palma & Co. Mercantile, 604 N. Main
Mann, Plainville, specializes in appraising furniture, residential contents, glass and coins.
The Classic Cars Cruise starts at 10:30 a.m. with lineup at Fossil Creek Hotel & Suites and ends at Main Street. A People’s Choice trophy will be awarded at 1 p.m. at Bricker Park.
The Dream Theatre show “The Lil’ Rascals” at 2 p.m.
Participants also have the chance to win $100 in Chamber Bucks.
The registration deadline for the Classic Cars Cruise is April 25.
