Ellis baseball wins twice at Lincoln

The Ellis baseball team picked up a pair of road wins Tuesday in Lincoln. Despite committing seven errors, the Railers win the opener 16-8, taking control with a pair of five-run innings in the fourth and fifth.

Ellis wins the second contest 12-2, shutting Lincoln out for the final six innings after they scored twice in the first inning.

Scott Pfeifer drove in three and Brevin LaBarge two in the first game. Dalton Hensley scored four runs. Pfeifer struck out nine over six innings and picks up the win.

Hensley had three RBI’s in the second game. Brandon Bollig pitched all six innings, striking out 12 for the win.

Ellis is now 6-4 on the season. They host Russell/Victoria Friday.
